Vermont Expands Electric Vehicle Charging Network

A new Minneapolis initiative has been launched to add more than 150 electric vehicle charging stations across the city over the next 12 months. The project will focus on dense neighborhoods, high-traffic corridors, and public parking areas near retail centers.

City officials say the plan is part of a broader sustainability strategy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050. Minneapolis currently has one of the highest EV adoption rates in the region, but many residents in apartment buildings lack access to reliable charging.

The pilot phase begins in Uptown and Northeast Minneapolis this fall, with city leaders saying they hope it will pave the way for a statewide charging network.
